Calories In Apples

The main bulk of the apple fruit is water…in fact 90% of it is made up of water. This is a fruit that is bursting with tasty flavour and the reason for that is the sugar content. Yes, its got a fairly high sugar content but does that mean the calories in apples will be high?.

You can balance that against the fact apples have virtually no cholesterol at all and their sodium content is really low. Being a fruit as well makes it a good source of vitamin C and a regular intake would ensure you get a good supply of fibre keeping your bowels healthy.

The calories in apples are quite acceptable, pretty low in fact unless you eat lots of it. It remains one fruit that I have to have at least one a day and I don't feel guilty about it. Neither should you!
